Many would call M. Garnet one of those ‘Grande Dames’ who has led a long and exciting life. She now sits in comfort with a secret smile as those around her are extremely polite, careful with their language or sexual innuendos. 

Married 31 years to an Engineer who traveled as a Soldier of Fortune (oops we were not suppose to tell anyone what he did but he is dead now so what the hell), her lovers included a professional Golfer, a highly successful nightclub owner and of course a sports bookie.  She traveled to most countries, still plays poker, but now she prefers it from her small office, surrounded by her Mac, her PC and her flat screen Sony.  Her companion Cayo, her King Charles Spaniel, stays with her begging for attention.

Her long and interesting life, starting as a child on an old fashioned farm in Kentucky, tours through foundries and automobile assembly plants, running a International Engineering Consulting Company, has all given her a wealth of detail to draw from to add to the background of the stories she puts on her computers.

Her full name is Muriel Garnet Yantiss.  She lives in a small suite of rooms at the end of her daughter's home, an office, a bedroom and a generous bathroom connected by a hallway to their kitchen greatroom.  Her son-in-law is a very handsome Puerto Rican who she claims spoils her by cooking great meals.  Life is good.

I am pleased to be so busy with my stories right now.  The cover at the left is a book called THE SPACEBINDER AND THE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS.  We are having trouble with fitting the long title into the beautiful cover.  Now these are the problems that readers don't hear about.

LOVER'S KNOT OF FOUR has been approved but without a release date and I have a contract for A MIDNIGHT QUEEN for future release.  I am working on a couple of short short stories for a contest.  Something different and quite a challenge but we always need something to stretch the imagination.  Keep reading and write me at mgarnet2@yahoo.com

Business....Paintings

I am so glad that in my retirement years I don't have to retire and take it easy, I can keep busy and do lots and lots of what I love, like painting.

I have had shows in the City Hall of the community I now live in, Oldsmar, Florida.  I also go to a couple of shows a year and am always pleased when my work sells.

I work in watercolor, pen and ink, using all the new watercolor pens and tools.  I like to experiment.
